It’s the offseason for football, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t celebrate your team on your wedding day!  For all of you football lovers use this idea to have a little fun with the garter toss.

Have you ever seen a moment when it is time for the garter toss and all of the guys move out of the way as soon as the garter is tossed? It's almost as if the garter has teeth and the guys are afraid it is going to bite them or something.

I was first introduced to Susan and Craig when they contacted me through my website. We setup a meeting to discuss their March 2010 wedding date.
Through the course of our meeting, I knew this was going to be a very fun couple, and Susan and Craig had many ideas on how to make their wedding experience truly a memorable celebration.  Susan and Craig met on match.com. After their first date, it was only a matter of time before they became head over heels in love with each other and instantly became inseparable.

I met Sarah at a bridal show in 2009, when she was planning her March 2010 wedding date.

I immediately knew this was going to be a fun couple, and Sarah had many ideas on how to make her wedding experience truly a memorable celebration.  Sarah and Harlan met at their church and it was love at first sight.

They became head over heels in love with each other and instantly became inseparable.  Together Sarah, Harlan, and I shared ideas of how to bring their personal style into their reception and together we designed a reception celebration around them and the love that they share.

Would you rather just have the same old boring way to dismiss tables from your reception or celebration?

Think back to your last event you attended as a guest that had a buffet. Did it sound something like this?

"Ladies and gentlemen, we will begin dismissing our tables starting with the bride and groom, followed by our wedding party, then our reserved tables, followed by our guests.”

I know most of you are reading that title and thinking “How do I make dinner fun?” Especially since we were taught at an early age how it’s not polite to play with your food. In this case it is okay to play with the food, or rather play with the idea of how to dismiss for dinner at your reception or next event.

To do this you need to ensure that you are having a buffet. Doesn’t really make sense to dismiss tables for a sit down dinner does it? I hope you can take these ideas and turn them into a more memorable experience for you and your guests. Instead of having your guests wait to go through the buffet line, why not use this opportunity to entertain and have fun with them.
