I know with all the latest technology email, facebook, twitter, instant messages, text messages, cell phones, etc..

Most people can conduct business over these social networks. However, when it comes to your wedding day, the most important day of your lives to this point, this rule does not apply.

For example, when you bought your wedding dress, did you buy it over the internet? Or did you go try it on first before you bought it?

When you chose your photographer, did you book them over the phone? Or did you see samples of their work first , before you hired them?

Unfortunately you cannot try on your DJ. DJs provide you with a specialized service that you cannot see over the phone.

Sure they can show you pictures of their equipment, but that is just as silly as the photographer showing you what type of camera and lens they use to capture photographs, or your caterer showing you pictures of their serving dishes.

Your entertainment is not like a pair of shoes that if it doesn't fit, the next day you can return them. You have one day, one moment to get it right. Once this day passes it will never happen again. If you do not meet your DJ face to face before you hire them, you increase your chances of having them ruin your special day.

We have all heard the horror stories of DJs who have performed at weddings, and their service was anything but professional.  Maybe you have experienced this first hand, at a wedding reception you recently attended. Point being, the only way to ensure the DJ has the ability and skills to provide you with what you have envisioned for your wedding day is to meet them face to face before any money exchanges hands.

Take that metting time to express what you have envisioned for your special day, and then ask the DJ for ideas and suggestions to enhance your wedding celebration, their responses are the only way to ensure you are talking to a true professional.
